John Grant’s stunning song ‘Glacier’, from his 2013 album ‘Pale Green Ghosts’ transported me straight back to the haunting glacial landscapes of El Calafate in Argentina, and inspired me to design this record sleeve using my own photography (as I don’t have my own plane, the aerial photograph on the back cover is taken from Wikimedia Commons courtesy of NASA).

The dark lines that run through the ice brought to mind the lyrics:

This pain
It is a glacier moving through you
Carving out deep valleys
And creating spectacular landscapes.
