Formerly the Maid Marian Restaurant, Launay’s was taken over by partners Alain Launay and Alison Smith. The new owners continued business under the original name for several years in order to build trust among a loyal existing customer base. By making subtle evolutionary changes to the menu, offer, and interior design, Alain and Alison retained the excellent reputation of the restaurant through a potentially disruptive rebrand.
The rebrand involved every aspect of the business, from the logo and visual identity to brand messaging and tone of voice. The brand is consistently executed across all channels including signage, advertising, website, email marketing, event promotion, stationery and uniforms.
