I create graphic art prints inspired by the music I Iove, and the music you love. The songs that are woven into your DNA – the albums that define you. My aim is to seek out a cryptic link, an ‘if you know you know’ nod. A different spin on what you’re spinning.

A lifetime of music and art inspiration.

Growing up on a colourful sonic and visual palette, from indie rock to house, from jazz to soul, I was consumed by the whole culture of music. Not just a song’s power to move, but the whole package; the way a song or album unfolds, sonically, emotionally, visually – even physically. It’s the reason I became a graphic designer over 25 years ago.

I was captivated by the playful yet infinitely skillful typography of the Blue Note label. The cool, atmospheric black and white photography of the jazz icons. But the 90s Indie scene truly defined my childhood; The Stone Roses, The Smiths, James, The Charlatans, and the super-slick, gorgeously considerate design of Peter Saville and the Factory Records label. Into the Britpop explosion and Blur, Oasis, The Verve, Pulp and beyond. The irreverent house style of Stylorouge.

Alongside that, I’ve always been desperate to fill my ears, and eyes, with something new, something different. And all this accumulated in my growing bank of inspiration, and informs my approach and attitude towards my own personal work – meticulous, deeply considered, intelligent music art that gets to the heart of the subject in a visually moving way.
